Most people have no idea how to look up campaign finance records, therefore the dealings of our government leaders go unnoticed. Who Takes Cop Money believes in the radical power of accessible transparency.

Hi there, my name is Emily and this website is my brainchild. I am a political consultant with a background in journalism and a bit of accounting. In 2020 I started this website on a whim, paid for it out-of-pocket, and made a lot of waves. After a couple years’ hiatus, I’m so enthusiastic to bring it back with more support than ever before.
This website is a labor of love, emphasis on labor. There’s a reason why nobody else has a site like this - this shit is fucking tough! Research? Me. Data processing? Oh, that was me. Website? Yeah, I did that.
Fortunately, WTCM has evolved from an impulsive side project to a growing network of community leaders intent on holding power to account. We’re just getting started and it brings me great peace of mind knowing there are others who will carry on this mission. Thanks for your support!
