Contributor Records

Please read this first!

WTCM reviewed campaign contribution records as far back as available online, in most cases starting around 2007. More records may exist beyond that timeframe. The following contributors may not be an exhaustive list of law enforcement donors to Fresno-area politicians, and we will try to add any we may have missed. It is also possible for candidates listed to receive donations from out-of-town law enforcement PACs, as we have not reviewed PACs from other areas. Records in PDF format have been combined into one singular PDF document per year as much as possible, with amendments added in addition to originals.

Please note: Clovis POA files are quite large; most are at 200 or more pages per year/file. Some years are split into multiple parts due to excessive file size.

  • FCDPOA is not registered as a PAC, therefore campaign records are not listed by filer. To view individual transactions, go to Fresno County’s campaign record search page. On the left menu, select Advanced Search. Under Contributor/Recipient Name, type Fresno County Deputy Probation Officers Association. Please note that Fresno County’s document retrieval website performs poorly on mobile devices.

  • FCDAIA is not registered as a PAC, therefore campaign records are not listed by filer. To view individual transactions, go to Fresno County’s campaign record search page. On the left menu, select Advanced Search. Under Contributor/Recipient Name, type “Fresno County District Attorney Investigator” which brings up all results, due to some candidates making the grammatical decision to add a possessive apostrophe after the letter S in Investigators. Please note that Fresno County’s document retrieval website performs poorly on mobile devices.

Some years are missing from local records online. We will update if and when public records requests are fulfilled. Thank you for your patience.

  • FCPSA is registered as a state PAC, therefore campaign records are not listed by filer on the county’s website. Cal-Access records only list their transactions back to 2019.

To view individual transactions before 2019, you must search local records for the candidates’ reports.

COUNTY: Go to Fresno County’s campaign record search page. On the left menu, select Advanced Search. Under Contributor/Recipient Name, type “public safety” which brings up a larger list of results. If you type in the organization’s full name, you will not see a donation to Supervisor Steve Brandau in 2019 because his campaign misspelled Fresno as “Frenso”. Please note that Fresno County’s document retrieval website performs poorly on mobile devices.

CITY: Go to the City Clerk’s campaign record search page. On the right menu, go to Advanced Search. Under Transactions, type Fresno County Public Safety Association.
